About the Sogni d'Oro Oral History Collection

The Center for Italian Culture was established in 1999 and is located within the Amelia V. Gallucci-Cirio Library.  It's mission is to encourage the understanding and appreciation of all aspects of Italian language and culture, including ancient and contemporary studies, and the Italian experience in the New World.

Digital access to the Sogni dOro interviews is enabled by the award of  Amelia V. Gallucci-Cirio Grant Awards in 2011 & 2012 which provided for transcriptions of the interviews.  Transcriptions were completed by AudioTranscriptions.org.  The digital collection has been completed by volunteer archivist, Nichole Shea, under the supervision of Special Collections Librarian, Kate Wells.

Several interviews have not been included in the digital collection due to poor sound quality. For a list of all of the interviews completed in the Sogni d'Oro project, please view the full finding aid.
